Packaging company DS Smith said it is investing 16 million euro in its production facility in the Serbian town of Krusevac.
The investment will increase the production capacity by 25% and significantly increase productivity, DS Smith’s Serbian subsidiary said in a statement, adding that it is part of DS Smith’s ambitious growth strategy in Eastern Europe.
The company is also operating in the Romanian city of Timisoara and has a production facility in the town of Ghimbav.
DS Smith expects that this investment will have a positive impact on the local community and that it will contribute to the economic growth and development of the region.
The company currently operates in more than 30 different countries and employs over 30,000 people.
