The INVL Renewable Energy Fund I said it signed a 25 million euro loan agreement with Kommunalkredit Austria AG for construction of power plants with 51 megawatts (MW) capacity in Romania.
“We see Romania as a very rapidly emerging EU market that is heavily focused on renewable energy projects,” Liudas Liutkevicius, Managing Partner of the INVL Renewable Energy Fund I said.
“We believe the fund’s investments in more renewable electricity production capacity will contribute greatly to reducing emissions and increasing energy security in Romania,” he added.
The INVL Renewable Energy Fund I is managed by INVL Asset Management. It has been investing in renewable energy facilities in the EU since July 2021 and it has goal to invest and manage over 200 million euro worth of solar and wind farms in the EU.
