Retailer Lidl Hellas said it will invest 120 million euro in Greece in the next three years, Greece’s daily newspaper Kathimerini said.
The investment program includes opening of new stores and warehouses, the newspaper quoted Lidl Hellas’ CEO Martin Brandenburger.
Lidl Hellas added value to Greece’s economy was 953 million euro in 2022, which equals 0.46% of the country’s GDP, he added.
Germany’s Lidl currently operates around 12,000 stores and more than 200 goods distribution and logistics centers in 31 countries.
