Global Employee Relations Investigator

Description

As a Global Employee Relations Investigator you will collaborate across the Human Resource function and businesses in the deployment of employee relations, policies, programs and services consistent with HP business and HR priorities across functions and/or geographies. You will consult with human resource partners to develop, plan and implement solutions to address unique organizational needs and requirements. You will also lead human resources assigned investigations and management of executive escalations, disciplinary policies, procedures and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and conduct investigations with a high complexity.
  • Act as an expert ER (Employee relations) consultant managing complex HR escalations.
  • Partner employment law, ECO, Integrity Councils and HR in the review of case findings and proposed HR recommendations.
  • Responsible for developing labor relations assessments, reporting and ensure disciplinary policies, procedures, practices and documentation is kept up to date.
  • Develop and deliver training to HR, business leaders and managers.
  • Provide ER training, support and guidance to other team members.
  • May represent HP in cases where the matter is referred to a tribunal, mediation and/or mediation.
  • Responsible for monitoring the changing internal and external environment regarding employee relation matters.
  • Develop and examine case studies and contribute to the evolution of the Global Employee Relations Framework, including program, policies, procedures,  practices and system enhancements.
  • Monitor the external environment to keep abreast of legislation changes that may impact HR programs, processes and/or practices.
  • Support or lead RBA/Human Rights Audits.
  • Provide advice to stakeholders regarding HR Policies, support countries providing business considered compliance solutions for BAU activities, strategy, and programs.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced skills, including coaching, teambuilding, conflict resolution, and management.
  • Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experienced in managing complex ER, LR & HR Compliance matter across geographies to drive business aligned solutions.
  • Strong communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation).
  • Strong business acumen, technical knowledge of multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
  • Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
  • Strong understanding of HP's policies and processes.

Impact and Scope:

  • Partner with Legal and external consultants to confirm requirements. Design, manage and deploy a global unique and complex strategies within a service delivery model.
  • Support or drive the strategy and success of larger projects which contribute to multiple areas of the organization.
  • Provide consultation and recommendations guidance for Human Resources, Business Managers, Integrity Councils.
  • Oversee the overall program and service delivery of the global team.
  • Decisions with regard to recommendations and strategies may have organizational impacts beyond a year.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically 6-8 years of experience in Employee Relations, Compliance and/or Labor Relations.
