Pivara Skopje brewery said it has conducted over 100 complimentary “Skills for Success” trainings within the Youth Empowered digital platform.
“Close to 8,000 individuals, including youth and those from vulnerable demographics, have successfully finished these trainings either at the company’s Educational Center or through online channels,” the company said in a statement.
The statement added that participants were able to enhance their communication skills, gain expertise in finance and business, refine their capacity in devising development plans and managing projects, learn the art of effective negotiation and sales, and acquire knowledge about time and resource management techniques.
“I am gratified that approximately 50% of the nearly 8,000 participants who completed the training have secured employment or initiated their entrepreneurial ventures,” Dushan Mitrev, the General Manager of Pivara Skopje said.
“Pivara, as a socially responsible company, has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to supporting the most vulnerable citizens in the country,” the North Macedonia’s Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Jovanka Trenchevska said.
Pivara Skopje, founded in 1922, was purchased by the Greek Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Heineken in 1998. The company’s Skopsko is the most popular beer in North Macedonia.
